Let Mississippi Vote

Fellow Mississippian,

I just wanted to give you a short up on how things are progressing with Let MS Vote.  We are making progress and are much closer to getting our ballot initiative approved!

We’ve had multiple conversations with the Attorney General’s office and are currently making some minor language tweaks required to get the initiative approved.  We are hoping to hear back very soon regarding next steps.

In the meantime we need your help!  We now have volunteers in all 82 counties and are continuing to recruit volunteers who will serve as County Chairs and Precinct Captains.

Filling these positions in as many locations as possible is critical to our success.  It will be these local leaders who we will work with to get signature petitions in the hands of thousands of Mississippians across our state.  It will be these team leaders that we will work with to make sure petitions are certified locally and turned back in for submission to the Secretary of State’s office.

In short… our success in getting our initiative on the ballot depends on us having County Chairs and Precinct Captains!!

Right now to make sure we have a good volunteer list.  So please email me, Dan Carr, at dan@danqcarr.com and let me know what county and precinct you live in and if you are willing to serve locally as either a County Chair or Precinct Captain.  I know I’ve spoken to many of you and some of you may have spoken to others helping with the initiative as well.  But, to make sure we have good records please email me so we can make sure we have you identified in the appropriate county.  Again… without your help there is no way we can properly cover every area of the state. We are very grateful for all you’ve done so far and are excited for the opportunity to work together even more as we move forward!

For Mississippi,
Dan Carr
